What's your Dream?

There are  a lot of changes going on here at Sandypetals. This is one of the reasons ( among many) for my blog silence for the past 2 months. My silence really was not intentional, more like  a meditative break. This year, for the first time since my son was born, I have seriously considered the need of a "real" job. I even went so far as to write a resume'. The problem was that I couldn't quite force myself to send any of the resume's off.
After many long talks with others who know me and what I like to do, I have decided to officially open
                                      Arnot's Garden & Arts
For as long as I can remember I have wanted to have a nursery. I have planned it many many times only to delay the dream for different reasons. Having a nursery is the one thing I could do for free for the rest of my life and never think twice about. I have known the truth of that statement for years, but for whatever reasons or excuses I have made, it is time to make my dream become a reality.
This quote by William Johnson has become my mantra lately....

If it is to be... it is up to me! ,
it has become incredibly motivating.

I won't give up Jewelry designing because that is just too much fun and a gardener needs something to do when it rains. I will also continue my artistic endeavors and some crafting.
In the days ahead, you can expect to see many changes. I hope you like them.

"No occupation is so delightful to me as the culture of the earth, and no culture comparable to that of the garden."--
Thomas Jefferson

Oh wow! I'm going through a similar crises at the moment...except mine is trying to decide whether to change jobs or give up on "working" all together or follow my dream of opening a "working craft shop"...a place to buy, play (because you don't have the space or inspiration at home) and drink copious cups of coffee and hot chocolate!!
Your inspiring quote is perfect too! BEst wishes on your new adventure, Pennyb

Congratulations! To know your Bliss is one thing; to be brave enough to commit to it is another! May it be all you hope and nothing you fear. Can't wait to see what comes....
